Suspicious Activity ?!?

I knew we had a problem when I came home and found some mysterious felting. I don't felt. I'm pretty sure my husband doesn't felt either....not intentionally. There have been a few minor laundry incidents, but I have banned him from the dryer.
This is what the photo evidence has turned over:

Those feet belong to hubby. He is an accomplice. If you are not a part of the solution........

Close up....

Hmmmmm. Don't let the cuteness fool you. He is sneaky.

On a not so criminal side note, I have completed Bartholomew's Tantalizing Socks.
Yep, they rock!

I know it is sideways. Alcohol and cameras do not mix very well. I will try harder next time. I promise.
I have started another pair from the same book, New Pathway's For Sock Knitters by Cat Bordhi.

Cedar Dancing Socks.

This is what I accomplished while watching America's Next Top Model.
Can you believe they bounced Claire?
Weird eh?
I'm off to go protect my knitting from the taste tester.
Have a good night everyone.

Some Yarn; Some Help; Some IPOD

I visited a new yarn store on my lunch hour this week at work. I was looking for some Addi Turbos that I have heard so much positive hype. While there, I found the sought after Addi's and some yarn:

I was very attracted to the colour. I am planning to use it for those socks for the Ravelry sock group, Jacobeans. You can never have enough socks, especially red ones. I am hoping to start them sometime this week.

Speaking of sock groups:
This is the yarn to be used on the third sock:

I love the wild colours. I can't wait to see how these stripe up.

I also began the second sock:

Those Addi's do sing. I can't believe how quickly I can clip along.

You know what else I learned? When you take them out of the packaging, they do not have that permanently rolled up look. They just unfold and are all ready to go. Those are my kind of circs!
I learned a new way to cast on. I am very stoked. :)))))

My creative assistant is ensuring that my that the second mate of my first sock does not fall by the wayside.

He is strict!

Hey! Check these out:

Cute little accessories for my ipod:

Who knew it would be so difficult to take a pic of such a tiny little object? You will have to trust me. They rock!
Is there anything that a skull cannot jazz up?
I don't think so.

Hubby and I finally completed Justice League Heroes for PS2:

I love RPG games, especially ones like this. It has a great plot. Reminds me so much of the cartoon I used to watch Saturday morning. I'm sure it is still on air. I just have a very difficult time waking up to watch them.

My creative assistant also has a little problem. He has an addiction to chewing wires. You would think this would teach me to put away my toys. I'm a slow learner.

He can do a lot of damage in a very short amount of time. Once we were without a phone for over a week. I never even realized. I just thought it was nice that no one was calling. It was almost peaceful. Then I checked the phone line. Yep. Chewy had struck again.

That is about it for now. I hope you are all well.
Have a great week end! :)

Monday, Monday.....

I've been working on this little sweater for a few days now. I have been obsessed. I worked on it while I was playing catch up with the New Amsterdam show:

The net is such an enabler for my tv addiction.

I brought it with me to mom's for the Easter holiday.

I wasn't sure how that hood would turn out. Truly an experimental piece.

Now....Viola:

Cute little sweater.

Pretty bright eh? Maybe it can keep her safe when she goes jogging at night. Toddlers do that right?
Have a good night everyone.

Long Weekends are Awesome

My friend introduced me to a new television show. It rocks. New Amsterdam. Have any of you seen it? It has an amazing concept. This detective has lived through the ages in search of the one true love a medicine woman has for him in order to be complete his life. He will never die until he finds this mystery woman. I love it. I think it is the second episode, he has a conversation with his son who is 65. Goes something like: "What are you going to do? Ground me? I'm 65 years old."
It is full of great lines. I am completely hooked now.
You should see me. Here I am knitting in the dark watching episode after episode of this show:
I am hoping to get some serious knitting done this weekend. I want to finish a sweater that I am creating for my little niece. This is the lovely child for whom I am struggling to make socks.
I'm going to go back to my show and continue working on this sweater:

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Fun Times

After work today, Hubby and I went to the LYS. (I have just discovered what this acronym stands for: Local Yarn Shop; How clever.) I love the lady that runs the store. She is truly an awesome person. Always has a smile and very quick witted. That alone gets my respect.
Anyway, a purchase was made:

But wait! There is more:

Can you see that? It comes with a matching thread for re-enforcing the heels if you so choose. How excellent! The colours just screamed at me: Hey! Hey you! I'm coming home with you!
Who am I to argue with the yarn?
I have never actually re-enforced a heel. I'm very willing to give it a go. I feel motivated!
I think I made the correct choice. Napoleon approves:

We also found some cool games:

I am looking forward to playing that brawling one with some friends that are coming over tomorrow night.
A co-worker was going through some closets in her home, (as opposed to someone else's closets,) and sent these little gems my way:

I see a little funky sweater in the mix.
I am going to have one busy week end. Knitting and gaming, oh my.
I hope you are all well. Have a great night.

Frog It

I just cannot seem to make socks for little feet. They turn out miles to large. The poor little dear will swimming in them. I've frogged it three times so far.

Yarn : 3 Jocelynn: 0

I've decided to set the needles down. Back away real slow and turn to another addiction:

I love video games. This one in particular has got my utmost attention. Tricky little thing that it is, I hate to be outsmarted by a machine. I will however, be victorious.
Check out the new controller. It would seem the old one became an unwitting chew toy for someone cute and fuzzy. No. Not hubby. Think smaller. Four-legged. Yep. Napoleon. I have no idea what the attraction is to wires. I am thinking up new ways to try and make it look less tasty as I write this. Hmmmmmmm. Think. Think. Think. Nada.

I've also had to wake up a lot earlier for work. It is slowing draining away all of my creative energy. I suspect that is why I now have this "wonderful" cold.
Our mass amount of snow is supposed to be hitting the bricks this week. We are due for some rain. I wonder how many basements will be flooded? This is another reason why I like my little apartment. I live on high ground.
Take care all.
Good night.
