Jackie and I are trying to be quiet.
The cats not so much.
I am scheduled to work the next four nights, so, I always wake up super early in order to have a bit of rest before I go to work at night. I also try to fill my mornings with as much action as possible, be it something mentally creative, like painting, drawing and knitting, or something physical like running on my elliptical machine.
It might be a weird system, but, so far it is the only one I have come up with that is successful.
Are there other night shift workers out there?
What do you do to try and get a successful sleep?
I have done quite a few sketches and drawings:
This is Mont Sutton, located not far from where I live. It has been posted to Ontario to take part in an auction for a friend's wedding.
Here are some of my favourite herbs! I use these regularly in pasta dishes and in pesto's!
This is an idea for a Christmas card. It is still a work in progress.
Of course my creative consultant is always on hand to offer his expertise!
When we are not inside being studious, Jackie and I love watching the birds, or have the birds watch us as the case might be!
I love this Cardinal! He has this perplexed look on his little face, like, what on Earth are you up to?
We were finally able to get a successful photo of a Tufted Titmouse that has been visiting us of late. He is very quick and does not rest long enough in one place for my camera to focus.
Last and certainly not least, I have been knitting!
It is something that occupies my brain wonderfully while it pours outside.
Jackie and I binge watch shows that everyone else has already had the opportunity to view. We spend a lot of time outside, so television goes by the wayside. While it rains, we spend our minutes on the couch with our own projects to work on.
I knit, she plays with Mr. Monkey.
My Ten-Stitch blanket:
I love how random it all is.
My Basketwork socks designed by Mona Drager:
That pretty well summons my month! I hope you are all keeping well.
Talk with you later. :)
