I'm enjoying my morning off. I am being entertained by Jackie and our yearly visitors.
I'm relieved the Wren has returned.
What makes it even more special, his mate returned with him!
We spotted the pair yesterday.
So, this morning, I set up the camera on the tripod and made several attempted to capture these feathery neighbours.
What a wonderful change.
Last year, he was all alone. He built his nest and day after day for about a month, he sang his little heart out trying to attract a mate.
This year, they are working together to build their happy little home.
He is trying to impress her by finding the perfect stick!
Most of my garden is flourishing.
My tomatoes are really starting to take off.
My raspberries had some blossoms.
Now I just have to get to the berries before Jackie!
I have a few really interesting plants this year.
This one, took forever to bloom.
The gentleman at the nursery said the flowers would be blue.
I am perfectly happy with the purple. When it finally blossomed, I was very impressed.
The other is a Parrot plant.
It has quite the tropical feel. When the temperature falls below 10 deg. C., we have to bring it inside.
I love these little beak like attachments!
We also have the beginnings of a lemon on our little citrus tree!
After reading a little bit online, I thought it would be a few years before we saw another lemon. I can't wait to see if this one matures.
The only downside surrounds my honeysuckle plant.
There are these little bugs that are suffocating the flowers.
They stop the flower from opening.
I'll have to do more research to see if I can figure a way to stop it from my killing off my flowers.
I've also finished a pair of socks!
The perfect pair to commemorate the Summer Solstice.
My Jack of the Green are complete with that yarn I had been saving for quite some time!
There are other things still going on but, I have to process them myself before I can figure out how to put it in words.
Last day of school for the Little Man is today. It was quite the struggle.
We still have to find out if he graduated.
We are making some lifestyle changes.
Trying to be a bit more healthy, food and exercise departments.
It is rooted in esteem issues. I will have to try and express this later.
It has been quite a long morning.
I'm off to fix a bit of lunch and settle in for the afternoon.
A few more nights, then I start my holidays!
I hope you are all well
Cheers!
