Questions I Have

I always have questions. They are usually questions that deal with my own state of mind. I am not vocal with my feelings. I like to squish them down and try and forget about them. I know. That is not healthy. It is how I deal with things. That was actually the reason why I started this little blog. It was an avenue for me to just ramble on about whatever popped into my head. It has helped. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but I have.
So what do you all do when you start to feel anxious? I have this little feeling in the back of my mind that something is going to happen. I'm not sure if it will be positive or negative. That does not help with the anxiety. Then again, maybe nothing will happen at all. Maybe I am thinking way too much internally and should just relax and let whatever may come happen and not worry. Yea. I don't see that happening either. I've always been a worrier. I come by it honestly. My mom worries about everything as well.
This week end I am going to make it a point to just relax and try to forget about all those pesky little things. I have a bunch of televisions show to catch up and several knit projects to complete as well as some drawings and paintings to work on. That's my plan anyway.
If anyone has some strategies on how they deal with stress, I would love to hear them.
Talk with you all later. :)

AKC

I finally learned what that means. Actual Knitting Content :) If it were not for google, I would be clueless with all those little acronyms you see in the online forums.
I have been knitting like a fiend lately. That's what happens when hockey season begins. I have a plan with regards to all that left sock yarn in my stash. I've been storing it in a plastic bag in my stash trunk for when I have an idea of what to do with it all.

I can make these little squares in all sizes and later sew them together. The goal is to actually make a blanket. If my attention span runs out, they could possibly become a scarf or a scary amount of dish clothes. We will have to wait and see how this plays out.

I've also been working on Ocean Toes socks from Cat Bordhi's New Pathways for Sock Knitters.

The yarn I'm using is called Ravish Me. its Superwash fingering Merino from Jumbo Gems. I ordered this online ages ago. I actually ordered two skeins of what I thought was the same colour but it turns out one has more pinks and reds than the other skein. I'm ok with that. It makes things more interesting, difficult to photograph though. A variegated yarn never shows up the pattern for me when I try to take pictures of it.

Finally, I've been working on some toques for a few people based on my Transformer design. I hope I'm not sick of this pattern by the end of this experience.

So far I'm enjoying it. I work on them when I catch up on my television programs, like Dexter, Bored to Death, and In Treatment.

Alright. That covers the knitting content!

I also made banana bread.

It might have made a thunk sound when I took it out of the pan....It is still really tasty though. The fuzzy demon children love it.

This has been one of my frustrations for the week:

...my laundry. I have had this one load of laundry sitting there, all ready to go, for one week. Every time I check to see if there are machines available, I'm foiled. Yesterday, I went down to the laundry room to check. There were all sorts of machines available. I literally ran up the four flights of stairs, because the elevator is way too slow, to grab my laundry. By the time I returned, all the machines were occupied. I think it's a conspiracy. Someone must wait to see if I am in need of a machine. So this will be my new mission this week. To complete my laundry.

My camera is still not working. I just learned that I can take pictures as long as I do not use the flash. It just means I have to hold really still to snap a pic. Yea for challenges. lol.
I think that covers my week. I hope you all have a great week end and the time change didn't interfere too much with your activities.
