January is almost finished.
I have been enjoying the rapidly changing weather.
We have -30, so I needed my big coat, followed by +10, so I needed my thick sweater.
Yesterday was a snow day due to the all the rain and quick freeze over night.
This just seems to be the theme for this winter.
I made some delicious cookies!
I followed the recipe from Carlsbad Cravings. This is the first time I have ever successfully made icing!
They did not last long.
I have also been practicing my watercolour painting.
I've been watching a lot of Youtube videos to try and understand my brushes and improve my technique.
From what I gather, it goes better if you try not to establish a plan and try to execute a feeling rather an image.
It's a work in progress.
I have also kept my needles busy with a few knit projects.
I am most proud of my top down sweater!
Dania.
The sleeves are not supposed to be matchy-matchy. I was a bit concerned and tried to sort out my yarn in order to finish the sweater.
I panicked. I should have trusted the pattern.
I really do love how it turned out. I just need to find some buttons!
I knit a hat for Little Man.
It is a little on the large side, so I will take it apart and re-knit it. I also just had this thought of knitting a layer to make it warmer.
There will also be mittens.
I can hear Jackie calling to go out. She has a routine that will not budge regardless of weather.
I'm off to find my boots and explore a bit outside.
Hope you are well!
