I have learned that The Fuzzies are not really good travel companions. Next time, I sedate them...maybe. They go into their carriers without a worry. The trouble starts when you start to pick up their carriers. That is when things get interesting. They screamed all the way down the downstairs; all the way outside to the truck and for the better part of an hour on the highway. I think they stopped because either their throats were sore or they finally realized we were not going to the vet. Either way, I was very thankful. You can only turn up the radio so loud to drown them out. I don't really like the stereo too loud because their have that incredible hearing. I can remember watching a documentary about cats and the part I remember most easily is they can hear the electricity in the walls.
Once we arrive at my parents, Napoleon lived up to the stereotype of being a black cat cellar dweller and went straight to the basement. Rebel made his way to the kitchen. That is where the two of them stayed for the better part of our trip. At night, Napoleon ventured upstairs and proceeded to eat most of Mom's plants. I guess he was roughing it.
With just the three of us humans, it was rather quiet. I rather enjoyed it, even if all we really watched was the news....24/7..for the first few days anyway. With their satellite system, they can watch the news across the country and comment on each provinces' local news stories. The weather was the most exciting. There was lots of flooding on the east coast and a few fires. When there were no more news programs to watch we watched CP24 and CNN. Did you know those channels show the same six stories and just loop them? I do now. :)
I finally was all newsed out and joined Napoleon in the basement. We watched a ton of movies. Miracle of 34th Street; Men With Brooms; It's a Wonderful Life; The Sound of Music; Pirates of the Caribbean; Surveillance; Nottinghill; and so many more. Wow that is a lot of movies. I had a difficult time sleeping so I knitted and watch movies. I completed a toque for Mom and finished the socks for Dad. I didn't bring my camera because of the flash trouble so I regret to say there are no pictures. You know it is rather strange. I refer to him as Dad when introducing him and mentioning him to other people, but in face to face conversations, I call him Len. I didn't create that name, Len is his name. I just noticed that. How strange. Anyway, I started another pair of socks for me. Nothing fancy. Just plain stocking stitch. I like the colour of the yarn. It is red and I suspect purple striped. That colourblind thing makes it a little difficult to differentiate between some colours. It's quite thick so I'm making the assumption they would be perfect winter lounging socks. Well you can see for yourself:
Pretty cool eh?
I always have a tricky time sleeping away from home unless I have had a few "beverages". Sleeping at Mom's is always interesting. First there is the battle of the thermostat. Mom prefers the house to be heated around 21 or 23 degrees. Dad likes it at a comfortable 27 or 30 degrees. Where I sleep in the basement you can hear the heater kicking on and going off at various stages in the battle. I believe the score by the end was Mom 10, Dad 25. I should have packed more T shirts. At least I remembered to pack my pillow. That helps. Next time I'm rigging something up for that futon. There is this bar that runs along the middle. If you land on top of it in your sleep, your back will scream all the next day. I had a difficult time keeping to one side. The Fuzzies kept pushing me around. Why is it the smallest critter takes up the most room?
Mom and Dad enjoyed their presents. I'm always a little worried about whether I chose properly. It's hard to shop for people who say they don't need anything. I like to think that after 30 years, I have finally got them pegged. The weather was awesome for driving. There were no freaky snow storms or onslaught of rain like in previous years. Just a blue sky, lots of sun and freezing cold. After the first hour it was quite enjoyable.
Now I have a day to myself. I'm going to wash my floors, make some soup and vegetate before I have to return to work tomorrow. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. :)

My Hair is All Staticy and Some Stranger Touched My Laundry!
That pretty much sums up my week thus far. I have fine hair. It is constantly clamped up because of the static issues. I don't think that is what Pantene had in mind when they said their volume increasing shampoo will work for fine hair. I'm forever that little one that pulls of her toque and all her hair looks like she has just touched that static ball at The Science Centre. If I listen closely, I can even hear the electrical charges.
I was trying to do my laundry last night because I will be away for the holidays. I was aiming to have some clothes to bring with me on my Christmas vacation. Yea for clean underwear!!! So anyways..I thought I had the laundry machines down path as far as timing goes. It takes 34 minutes for the washers and 42 minutes for the dryers. I was one minute late. I enter the laundry room and find my wet clothing on the counter and a woman happily shoveling her items into the machine.
Um...I start....were you waiting long for that machine?
No. It had just finished, she answers all smiley.
I had nothing to say. I have never had anyone else touch my laundry before. I guess I have to rethink the timing on my laundry adventures and correct the washer to 33 minutes to beat the eager Sallys of the world anxious to do their laundry. Lesson learned.
Tomorrow I'm driving to my Mom's with the two cats. They know something is happening. I found their carriers last night and set them out. Napoleon has been in and out of his since they came out of the closet. Rebel just stares at his. Right now those carriers are pieces of furniture. Tomorrow morning they will be high tech torture devices. I always feel like I'm transporting Hannibal Lector with Napoleon. I have to use twist ties to keep him from breaking free. As I move down the hall with them, they scream at the top of their little lungs. I just look at it as their version of telling the neighbours they are excited to be out of the apartment. Ah who am I kidding. They are screaming that they are being held hostage and heading to unknown territory and should be leaving the comfort of their sanctuary. I can't say I blame them. That's how I feel most days when I leave my domicile.
I am looking forward to Christmas. I thought I would be all apprehensive, what with this being my first Christmas as single. This is not the case. I've been enjoying myself quite a bit actually. I've been knitting for people that I really care about, watching all the Christmas movies on television and just enjoying the season. I can't really account for my feelings. I'm just thrilled that I'm in high spirits.
Merry Christmas Everyone!!! Stay healthy and safe. :)

It Happened Again
We need to ask someone to help make week ends a tad longer. I can't seem to complete all my desired tasks on such a short time line. The other factor was I down and out with the flu.
It was quite a handy thing I had soup on hand...
which I made!
Creamy Mushroom Chicken Soup made from these ingredients:
Chicken, mushrooms, carrots, cream, garlic, salt and pepper.
I also completed a scarf I was working on for a friend:
I have a few more projects to complete before Christmas, but Napoleon decided it was time for a nap.
I'm feeling a bit rough still, so I am inclined to agree.
Maybe tomorrow I can convince him to let me complete another project. I hope you are all well. Night all. :D

Back in the Caffeinated World
I finally found my coffee maker at Wal Mart. Oh Coffee, how I have missed you.
Now the world is once again safe! It's a cute little machine that I found for a very good price.
I had a great week end. On Friday night after I played cards badly but still had a ton of fun. It was a Euchre tourney. I only go to these once a year. Every time I've been, I've always enjoyed myself.
My friend came over on Saturday and we an awesome time. We made rum raisin ice cream.
Goodness in a bowl. It is loaded with cherry raisins, black currents, and all that natural stuff. I have to watch Rebel though. He is very partial to the rum part.
I also completed my Dragonfly scarf:
I am thrilled with how it turned out. I hope the recipient is just as pleased.
I also started another scarf for a friend:
It doesn't look like much now but give me a day or so......then I hope it looks like something cool. We will find out soon enough.
We also had our first snowfall this year:
It finally put me in a Christmas mood so I thought I would share my favourite Christmas tune with you:
Hope you all had a great week end. :D

There Goes My Week End :(
I hope you all enjoyed your week end. Mine was not very eventful. I just completed and started a few projects for the Christmas season.
Those not so little toques I mentioned earlier? They are out of my home now and hopefully will make some little brains toasty. :D
I completed my first ever tea cozy:
Not too shabby eh? It was meant to be a plain brown cover. I don't really do plain. I add a few details. I do not think the future owner will mind.
I started a striped scarf for another friend:
It cannot be just a plain scarf though:
Ta Da. An illusion scarf in the works. This one is of a dragonfly. I love this technique. I hope the recipient does as well.
So it was a quiet week end for my and the fuzzies. We caught up on a lot of our television shows and even found time for a nap:
I hope the Christmas season is not too overwhelming for you all. I know it can affect me if I let it. We all just have to keep in mind the idea behind the holiday. It is about family, reflection and good times. Not all these can be purchased or wrapped very easily. Just make sure the people that need to, know how much you appreciate them. That does not have to have a monetary value attached.
Enjoy the start of the week kind folks. I know I will try my best to enjoy my week. :)

Storm is Threaten'....
My constant companion for the last three days has been a killer headache. It really halted my progress on anything. I suspect it is weather and stress related.
I also did a number on my hand. I wasn't paying attention and a little incident with a kitchen knife. :(
It's starting to heal.....finally. It made knitting quite awkward.
Oooh! speaking of knitting..Like that segue? I have completed two of my three Transformer Beanies!
Rebel approves.
With the colder weather about I have been looking at comfort food. This was my lunch today:
Tomato soup with Rye bread.
As a snack I had a pomegranate.
I love these things. You have to be very patient to eat them.
Well, I'm off to work on toque number three. Have a great Sunday everyone :D

Divorcée
Tonight I officially started that whole divorce process. We signed what I like to call phase one. From what I understand, the paperwork now gets sent to our nation's capital. Somewhere between six and ten weeks, the paperwork goes before a judge who will then sign off on it. There are more steps involved I'm sure, but that is the gist of the evening's events. This might explain that hyper anxiety I was feeling over the week end. When the actual signing took place though, I was strangely unaffected. I think I've just come to terms with the whole ordeal and I'm satisfied with how things are turning out. I've not felt this happy or relieved in such a long time it astounds even me and I'm directly involved.
I did finish up a knitting project this week end.
I hope the recipient likes them.
Napoleon is not really that impressed.
He does not like when I spend time with anything that is not him.
I was also working on toques for a client. I'm going to have to rip them apart....again. These little tykes have surprisingly large noggins.
I found a cheap attachment thing for my headphones for my PC at WalMart. I really missed my music. It helps keep track of time and just forget about whatever happening in the day. I guess the proper term would be an adapter of some sort. It has the pink and green ends that fit in the tower and another part that your headphones plug into. I'm very happy I found this little device. Now I can rock out into the night.
This is the song that stuck in my brain at the moment:
Catchy isn't it?
It feels like things are happening now. Soon I will have this little piece of paper that says I am no longer married. I'm good with this. :) A whole new set of adventures will happening. I am in a very good state of mind. :D

Questions I Have
I always have questions. They are usually questions that deal with my own state of mind. I am not vocal with my feelings. I like to squish them down and try and forget about them. I know. That is not healthy. It is how I deal with things. That was actually the reason why I started this little blog. It was an avenue for me to just ramble on about whatever popped into my head. It has helped. I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed, but I have.
So what do you all do when you start to feel anxious? I have this little feeling in the back of my mind that something is going to happen. I'm not sure if it will be positive or negative. That does not help with the anxiety. Then again, maybe nothing will happen at all. Maybe I am thinking way too much internally and should just relax and let whatever may come happen and not worry. Yea. I don't see that happening either. I've always been a worrier. I come by it honestly. My mom worries about everything as well.
This week end I am going to make it a point to just relax and try to forget about all those pesky little things. I have a bunch of televisions show to catch up and several knit projects to complete as well as some drawings and paintings to work on. That's my plan anyway.
If anyone has some strategies on how they deal with stress, I would love to hear them.
Talk with you all later. :)

AKC
I finally learned what that means. Actual Knitting Content :) If it were not for google, I would be clueless with all those little acronyms you see in the online forums.
I have been knitting like a fiend lately. That's what happens when hockey season begins. I have a plan with regards to all that left sock yarn in my stash. I've been storing it in a plastic bag in my stash trunk for when I have an idea of what to do with it all.
I can make these little squares in all sizes and later sew them together. The goal is to actually make a blanket. If my attention span runs out, they could possibly become a scarf or a scary amount of dish clothes. We will have to wait and see how this plays out.
I've also been working on Ocean Toes socks from Cat Bordhi's New Pathways for Sock Knitters.
The yarn I'm using is called Ravish Me. its Superwash fingering Merino from Jumbo Gems. I ordered this online ages ago. I actually ordered two skeins of what I thought was the same colour but it turns out one has more pinks and reds than the other skein. I'm ok with that. It makes things more interesting, difficult to photograph though. A variegated yarn never shows up the pattern for me when I try to take pictures of it.
Finally, I've been working on some toques for a few people based on my Transformer design. I hope I'm not sick of this pattern by the end of this experience.
So far I'm enjoying it. I work on them when I catch up on my television programs, like Dexter, Bored to Death, and In Treatment.
Alright. That covers the knitting content!
I also made banana bread.
It might have made a thunk sound when I took it out of the pan....It is still really tasty though. The fuzzy demon children love it.
This has been one of my frustrations for the week:
...my laundry. I have had this one load of laundry sitting there, all ready to go, for one week. Every time I check to see if there are machines available, I'm foiled. Yesterday, I went down to the laundry room to check. There were all sorts of machines available. I literally ran up the four flights of stairs, because the elevator is way too slow, to grab my laundry. By the time I returned, all the machines were occupied. I think it's a conspiracy. Someone must wait to see if I am in need of a machine. So this will be my new mission this week. To complete my laundry.
My camera is still not working. I just learned that I can take pictures as long as I do not use the flash. It just means I have to hold really still to snap a pic. Yea for challenges. lol.
I think that covers my week. I hope you all have a great week end and the time change didn't interfere too much with your activities.

My Poor Coffee Maker
I think I killed it. :( Cue sad music. I thought I would be really responsible and try to clean the wonderful machine. It has after all provided those around me with a fair chance at life. Me without caffeine is a very scary thing. So I cleaned up the black and chrome device and realized the inside was pretty gross looking. That commercial said CLR is great for cleaning these types of things. I thought I would give that a go. It did do wonders on my shower head. I ran the mixture of CLR and some water to dilute it through the machine. The little beeping that happens cued it was complete. I waited a little and tried to run just clean water through to get rid of all the chemical. All it did was beep. The water never ran itself through the machine. I then went online to see if anyone had any suggestions. There was one suggestion that said unplug it for an hour. I did that. I tried again. Nada. Still just beeping. I'm getting a little worried now. I unplugged it for three hours. Tried another time. Nope. The machine will not put the water through. :( When I get home from work tonight I think I will take it apart and see what is going on. I can't possibly do any more damage to the poor little device.
Let us recap then. My headset for my pc has gone under the radar. It likes to remain undetected. My camera has gone into vampire mode. My coffee maker just wants to beep. I should stay away from all small appliances and electronic devices. I wonder if I can train the cats to operate those. They can't do anymore damage than I have done.
I was surfing the net this morning and came across an interesting article involving Randy Quaid. You all remember Randy? He was in such movies as the National Lampoons Vacation movies, Caddyshack, Moving, and a ton of other flicks. I actually had no idea how many films he has been in. Anyways, the article goes on to mention how Mr. Quaid and his wife would like to seek asylum in Canada. They fear for their lives. Their friends have been getting picked off one by and one and they worry they are next. I thought that was very interesting. I've never had that level paranoia myself. I don't think I could pull it off as successfully.
I'm off to dismantle a coffee maker and work on a pair of socks. See you all later.

Time For New Adventures
I feel like I took a big adult step today. Granted, I have been an adult for quite some time, but some days it felt like I was just playing at being a grown up.
My old Dodge has now been retired. I thought I'd be a little more emotional. Not over the actual retiring of the truck, but what the truck represented. It was my first vehicle that I purchased with my ex-husband. It did have a lot of memories with all the little adventures we experienced. Now I'm more relieved than anything for a few reasons. The first is I do not have to worry about being stranded on the side of the road. The second is that I'm happy I can start a whole new bunch of memories and adventures. I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders. It was the last major tie to a part of my past.
I made a few attempts to take pictures to share with you all, but apparently my camera has retreated into vampire mode. I'm trying to fix that.
The camera does not like daylight.
It does look pretty bad ass eh?
The first vehicle that I have acquired on my own. I am thrilled!! I did have a very awesome friend negotiate the deal for me. I'm the first to admit my negotiation tactics are very poor. I'm happy with the outcome. I haven't stopped grinning since I had the keys placed in my hand.
Just thought I'd share that with you all. I'm off to watch the hockey game. Have a great week end.

Happy Thanksgiving
It is our Canadian thanksgiving this week end. Some of us are sweating in our kitchens trying to out do what Mom always made look simple. Some of us are drooling in anticipation of someone else' kitchen adventures. Others are rather low key. They have their video's or games picked up for the awesome long week end and looking forward to just trying to decompress. Whatever you are up to this week end, I hope it is everything you expect and more.
In a few hours I'm off to visit with my parents. They are actually in their camper staying not to far from where I live. Their camper is actually quite a nice set up. It has more space than most apartments I've seen. Hopefully I can take some very cool scenery pictures. The leaves this year have the most colour change than we have seen in a very long time. They have actually just started to really change around my place. This is another reason why I love my country. You can't capture these true colours on canvas, although we keep trying.
I've been lying low since I felt so under the weather this week. I've just been watching television and hanging out with the fuzzies. They are great company. We watched the hockey games, and whatever movies came on television. I have to replace the speaker set for my pc. Apparently they have had a fallen out and my computer will no longer recognize my speakers. I have had to write down the shows that I really want to watch for when I find speakers that are compatible. I just have one episode left of The United States of Tara and its killing me I can't watch it. argghhh.
At least hockey is back! Even Rebel is right into it:
It is a little blurry, but Leafs just scored on the Senators for the fourth time.
Napoleon couldn't care less:
While I watch television, I just can't sit there and absorb whatever is going on. I have to be moving or thinking. So I worked on my painting:
February is coming along nicely if I do say so myself.
I knit on a pair of socks that I started during the Sock Knitters Pentathlon from 2008! They are called Summer Olympic Socks. I just never finished them. Then I started to go through that personal stuff. I must have just tucked everything away into boxes. I found these unfinished relics in a box with some comic books. At least I had some system to my madness, all my favourite things in a box together.
Now I can move the dial on the progress tab in my Ravelry projects.
Speaking of Ravelry projects...how is that for a segue? This is the reason why I started to create my own little patterns:
Just not enough strength to try and get my pattern out from under Rebel. He is a really big cat with a thing for paper. I find it best not to argue. Eventually he eventually he gets hunger and moves.
Napoleon just makes it difficult for me to find my yarn:
That is all that is happening in my little world at the moment. When I get back, maybe I can share some autumn pictures with you all.
Happy Thanksgiving!

New Pattern :)
I haven't been feeling well this week. I encountered some small creature who had the sniffles and now I feel like Death warmed over. Not a pleasant feeling. I am pleased to say that I have kept a meal down and have been upright for three hours. This is progress.
During those three hours I have watched the Leafs win their season opener against the Habs and post my finished sock pattern, Crossed, on Ravelry.
I still feel kind of gross. I think I passed my cold along to Rebel. He is more cantankerous than usual today. I think I'll just take my cold meds, grab my book and tuck myself in. Night everyone.

Lovely Week End
I had a very nice week end. Nothing exciting happened. Just finished a few projects and learned how to make Pad Thai. Yes. More experiences in the kitchen.
I made a few toques!
This one is for my Mom to give to a neighbourhood boy who is helping my parents with a few things around their home.
This is one I am most proud of:
I look a bit like an elf there.
It is a Transformer Toque that I designed myself!
There will be a pattern to follow.
I had a craving for noodles yesterday. I searched online for an easy recipe. This one by Chez Pim was the most helpful.
I started out with these ingredients:
Noodles, a small Spanish onion, fish sauce, chili sauce, cilantro, lime, chicken, garlic power, brown sugar, vegetable oil and an egg. Sadly, I couldn't find tofu or tamarind. Next time, I'll make a special trip to find those ingredients. Grocery shopping for me is always like a treasure hunt. If you ever come across me, I'm the one muttering under my breath weird little chants.
You start by doing the prep work. You soak the noodles until they are flexible. As they are soaking, you start mixing up your sauce and heating up your wok really, really hot. By the time the fire alarm goes off, it's ready. Yes. I met my neighbours again. My sauce for this time around involved a generous pour of fish sauce, chili sauce, brown sugar, lime juice and 1/3 cup of water. I mixed that up so everything is all blended and the sugar is practically dissolved. Then I poured in my oil in three really generous tablespoons. I toss in my chopped onions. I don't really like a lot of onion, so they always go in before everything else so their flavour is in the oil. By the time the rest of the ingredients go in, they are barely there. Then I toss in my chopped up chicken with garlic powder and three tablespoons of the sauce. Once that is halfway cooked,I take the noodles out of the water and pat them dry. Then they get tossed in. I stir everything around and then move everything to the side. At this point, I cracked the egg and let it sit for a moment. Then I stir like mad again so everything is nice and blended. Last, I pour in the sauce. I keep stirring until everything is all meshed together.
The end result looks like this:
It tasted really awesome. This kitchen concept might not be so scary after all. Night everyone :)

I'm Kinda Lost
I've recently found myself in a bit of trouble with my little blog. I come on here just to babble on, vent about whatever is bothering me and share a thing or two. Well, I made some comments the other day about stuff going on at work. I have since discovered that those people I made comments about have read my little rant. I was approached by a supervisor to maybe apologize or explain the situation. I'm not sure how I feel about that. On one side, if it was me and I read those words, it would feel like a slap in the face. When put that way, yes, I would apologize. From my own perspective, I feel a little upset that I have to mix my work and personal life. I have been very careful about keeping those things separate. No one had a clue that I was going through a separation until I needed a form filled out and change of address. I do not really want to censor myself. The whole point for me was mentioned above. I just want to go all emo. Have it all expressed and then forget about it. It's selfish of me I know. I'll have to think about this some more.
Aw well. Tomorrow is another day. Happy Monday everyone.

I've Been Busy
I looked at my calendar today and realized I might need to get out more. I have marked on it all the premieres of shows I wanted to make sure I didn't miss. I take solace in the fact that I don't just sit and watch television. I actually work a fair bit on my little projects. Since I no longer have the hardcore cable and switched to basic, I watch a lot of my shows online. I believe I have mentioned this many times. What is sort of funny, not haha, but weird funny, is that I have only really had a computer for about five years. In the grand scheme of things, that is really not a terribly long time. It has become such a huge part of my life. I have to be very careful. In a heartbeat, I can easily become that crazy cat lady that never leaves her apartment. Since being on my own, I've decided to make a few changes to my lifestyle. It is shows too:
When I first moved in my little apartment, I purchased some new jeans. They were a size 34-35ish. I can't really remember and the little numbers have worn off. I weighed in at 170lbs. Now, my jeans are a 29-30 and I'm weighing in at 135lbs. I am thrilled.
A few of my changes are to make sure I eat all my food groups. I'm not educated in the means of proteins, fats, cholesterol etc etc. All I know is that if I fail to eat all my food groups in a day, I am off balanced. So today for instance, I start with coffee. That does not really fit into a food group, but people's lives are saved if I'm caffeinated. I switch on my computer, (bit addicted yes I know), settle in with my knitting or drawing and watch some shows. Today I watched a few episodes of The United States of Tara. Wow. I love this program. When I start to feel snackish, I begin to think about breakfast. I has toast with peanut butter and fruit. I have never been a big breakfast person. It was always a fight to get anything into me before school. After my breakfast, I start to tidy up a bit. A few hours go by, I start to feel hungry again. I had a bowl of cereal. Depending on my mood it is either Lucky Charms or Cheerios. I can't help it. They are magically delicious. I went for a walk to pick up some groceries. The story is about 20 minutes away at a fairly brisk pace. For my lunch I made a toasted cheese, bacon and tomato sandwich. I finished my socks:
I am currently working on my pattern now. I'm stuck at the chart part. I have found a program online that helps, again with the computer. I just have to be patient and work through it methodically. Patience is not one of my main characteristics. Then I start thinking about my supper. Tonight I had angel hair pasta with some veggies tossed in, with some wine of course. I watch Criminal Minds and The Glades and worked on a toque for my mom. She would like one to give to one of the neighbourhood children who have been helping my parents with some outside tasks. When it is complete, I'll be sure to take a picture for you. I think it's rather cute.
If I get snacky, I help myself to a muffin, trail mix with dried fruit, popcorn, or whatever else I have on hand that I do not need to prepare. The only trick I can really offer is to just eat when you are hungry. You have to learn what your body asks. When you are hungry, eat. When you are full, stop. It sounds so simple but all these other emotions come into play. That bored phase. That one is the killer. Keep your mind active and it helps. That is why I have all my little projects on the go. My hands are constantly moving. If I'm not knitting, I am drawing or painting. I also read a lot. When I need more, I start playing my video games. Reading through what I did today, I realize that I'm not really that social. I do have a few friends. Sometimes I do wish I would go out more. I just have more things I need to work on. I do like how I am. I have lots of weird little quirks. I like those too. I have come to the realization that I shouldn't work from home. By going to work, allows me to go out and interact with people face to face. I am rather good at it. I enjoy reading people and trying to decipher what it is that they need. To be honest, I'm rarely wrong. That's probably why I like playing cards. To be a good card player, it is not the cards that win the game but the person holding them. Anyway, I'm rambling. The point I'm struggling to make is that I need my mind and body to be kept busy or I turn into veal.
Enough about food. Want to see my love seat?
All I have left to do is fasten it to the underside. Every time I went to do that this week end there was a fuzzy creature sleeping on the seat. With the full moon, the cats were absolutely insane this week end. When they finally went to sleep is when I just worked quietly.
I should get bonus points for level of difficulty enhanced by curious kitty:
I almost sewed him into the seat several times.
Napoleon has no fear of sharp objects if they are shiny.
We are quite pleased with ourselves!
In a very long nutshell, that is what I have been up to this week. I might not have made much sense during my little monologue. I have all these thoughts roaming around my head. I think faster than I can type. Sometimes I forget you can't read my brain. I leave details out. As long as I entertained. I do hope you all had a great week end. We will chat again soon. :)

So Much TV, So Little Time..
Not sure if it's sad or not, but on my calendar I have all the series premieres that I would like to watch marked down. I'm not sure when I turned into such a television junkie. There are worse vices I'm sure. I just finished watching the season finale of True Blood and last season's Weeds. Now there are all these new shows I want to check out, especially Lost Girl and a new version of Nikita.
While I'm watching all this television, I'm working on my sock pattern. I really like how it's been progressing:
I've started my second sock and hope to have the pattern up shortly.
Work has been weird. I don't really have another word for the situation.
I'm tuckered out. I'm going to slay monsters. I hope you are all enjoying your week ends.

It's Friday
It was much too long a week for me. There is just way too much serious stuff going on in my life at the moment. Someone disappointed me. I was told that such and such would happen, and the other person did not follow through. It makes me quite relieved to be on my own. I'm responsible for my own actions.
Work was a bit hectic. It amazes how many small children can be placed on wrong vehicles. If the adults in charge would just listen to what the young person had to say, a lot of chaos would have been avoided.
I also have to give credit to parents for teaching their young ones the golden rules of growing up. Specifically, the no talking to strangers. These children were taught so well, that they even refused to tell the bus drivers where they live. That code proved quite challenging to overcome.
While I was waiting to drivers to report they were clear this afternoon, I started a new project, or rather, I ripped apart what i was working on and started fresh:
I like the direction this is going in way better!
My truck is still sick. It is not a cool sick like the kids say either. I just have to wait and save up a little to fix it properly. Hopefully by the end of next month, things will be back in the black.
To sidetrack myself I stumbled across this little gem:
Geek and Gamer Girls Song - Watch more Funny Videos
It has Stan "The Man" Lee. Well, it made me smile.
Tomorrow is another day. I am going to be domestic and maybe work on my painting. See you all later. :D

Weather Is Not Great.........
.......but I get my vampire hours have returned. The sad bit is I have a cold. I've been quite good this year in the health department. So, I'm just going to suck it up and deal with this little hiccup. I'm not sure if the cats are sneezing in sympathy or if I have somehow managed to share my disease with them, but they are sneezing as well. We all had a great nap today. Well, they had a great nap.
There really wasn't much room left on the bed for me.
I finally get my "regular" hours back tomorrow. School is back in session. I will no longer need to wake up at the ungodly hour of 06h51. I can't wake up on the hour. I always set my alarm to be off by a minute. Weird, yes; but very effective.
At least with the weather being being icky, I was able to make some progress on a few projects. I'm working on a pattern for a toque with my design partner:
I also started working on a concept for a pair of socks:
The variegated yarn doesn't bode well for showing off the pattern, so I tried again with a solid:
We shall see what becomes of my little adventure.
Then my brain was all tuckered out, so I just vegged and played video games.
Regardless of the weather, I hope you all had a fantastic labour day week end.
